Networking

Many dealers have a network or server computer system in their offices. Most of those dealers want to have the Market$harp program available to many of their employees. Although we recommend that you have as “few fingers in the pie as possible” a dealer can have the ability to network the Market$harp program. One additional key is provided when networking is purchased, and buying this option allows you to use one additional computer. Please call for the written instructions on how to network Market$harp.

Age of Structure (Year Home Built)

We are able to provide the age of the home. This can be useful in marketing to a group of homes at least 15 yrs old who have never had their air conditioning units replaced.

Value of Structure (Home Market Value)

We are able to provide the market value of the home. This can be useful in marketing to a group of homes in high income areas. You could filter out homes worth $250,000 and up.

Refresh Database Names

Usually after approximately 1-1/2 to 2 years, depending on the location, dealers find that it’s necessary to refresh their database with the current homeowner information. Depending of course, on the move out rate of your area. Normally a dealer can tell when it’s time to refresh, when at least 10% of their mailings are returned undeliverable. This service will give the dealer all of the available names for that geographic area according to his demographics. This is necessary because there could be a new resident, the death of a spouse, a change of phone number, etc. Therefore, we purge all of the current data in the zip codes you want to refresh and replace it with the new data.

Customize & Import Existing Customer Database. - Step 1

Many dealers want to add their existing customer database to the Market$harp program so they can solicit those customers. Soliciting existing customers and cross selling them is by far the number one way to get immediate responses to your direct mail.
To do this we need an ASCII text file that is either tab or comma delimited. This type of export can be done with most existing dealer computer programs.
In many cases the dealer databases are in very poor shape, that is, last names where first names should be, phone numbers without area code, Zip Codes not in the proper fields, and the database is not in the proper format to import into Market$harp.
In order to enter this data into Market$harp we must send it out for review and re-work.
When the dealer receives the database back many of these items are corrected and the data is in the proper format to import into the customer section of Market$harp program.
Please let us know if there are additional fields that you want to add to the definables section of Market$harp.

Standardization and Zip + 4 - Step 2

This option will correct your database and put it in the format that the post office wants to see, that is; Avenue as Av. etc The database will also be given the 4 digit Zip + 4 number.
Note: The fee for the customize & import is waived if you choose this option

Add Longitude & Latitude - Step 3

Longitude & Latitude will be added to your existing customer database. This will allow you to do radius mailing around a job you just completed in the customer section of the Market$harp program. You will be able to use this information for other uses.

Merge and Purge

This will compare the dealers existing customer database to his prospect list, removing the duplicates from the prospect list so that you are not marketing to your customers as if they were a prospect.
