The software originated when Tim Musch, (currently Director of Business Development, but ultimately a techie geek), initially wrote the software in 1988 for his brother's Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin wholesale/retail window operation. MarketSharp Software officially commenced operation in February 1996 by a group of entrepreneurial home improvement professionals (some geekie, some not) familiar with the software and astounded by their own success with it. Hey, what can we say… we’ve been in your remodeling shoes!
In the early days, the desktop version of the software was on the forefront of database marketing and management for the remodeling industry. After a few years… the software’s technology and functionality were continually enhanced and upgraded. But more recently, to meet (and exceed) the evolving usage needs of customers - the transition from desktop software to web-based technology was the future. Totally ecstatic and up for the challenge – MarketSharp went to work (literally)! The goal was to create an ONLINE solution for remodelers that retained the industry-specific features yet, fully automate their business practices of generating leads, coordinating team efforts and monitoring results – ultimately, driving more business at even GREATER efficiency!
The key question was … how could we deliver this?
To successfully deliver 'all-encompassing software’ was going to require a complete redesign with much more sophistication. So we combined the latest technology, with hundreds of insightful customer suggestions (a BIG thanks to our customers), and set out to create the most innovative marketing and management system for the home improvement industry.
